Best Places to Take Dad for Father's Day

For those of you who get to celebrate your dad this weekend, I say " Lucky You!" I'd give up a year of food blogging to spend a day or year with my father. Well enough of the sad talk, Father's Day is right around the corner and there are some local restaurants and happenings that your father will surely enjoy. If you're looking for last minute reservations, grab your celly( is that a word anymore) and get to callin'!

B&B will be open for brunch and dinner on Father's Day, with live music during brunch (11a-3p) on the covered rooftop patio- don't worry they know it's hot, so their larger fans will be on! If he's not in the mood to go out, they're also offering a take-out package so you can show dad that what he's taught you on the grill.

Laurenzo's is offering all dads a 10 oz. Rib Eye Steak for an extremely reduced rate of $18.99, like what? 10 oz. Rib Eye for $18.99, yep you read that correctly! They will be open from 11a-9p on Sunday. There's something about the way they prepare their meats.

Reserve 101
Maybe your dad just wants a drink paired with lots of laughs and crazy conversation? Reserve 101 will be hosting The Macallan Scotch Tasting. You'll enjoy pours of their 12 year, 18 year and limited edition n.1 scotches. Drink responsibly and maybe have an Uber on speed dial.

Juneteeth Celebration & Brunch at Monarch
This one I put together myself! Enjoy brunch and conversation at Hotel Zaza's Monarch Restaurant, followed by an amazing Juneteenth celebration with the legendary funk and soul jazz saxophonist Maceo Parker At The Miller Outdoor Theater. Aaaah, now that's perfect for the jazz loving dad!

And off course, you can't forget Peli Peli. Does your dad have a curious palate? Treat him to something different by taking him out for South African-Fusion cuisine. They'll be serving Espetadas, Lambchops(seriously the best I've had), and the best steak and brunch favorites from Chef Paul Friedman.
