Uptown Sushi is a fusion restaurant located in Uptown Park
near the Galleria.  The restaurant offers
great sushi in a chic, beautiful, clean environment. The establishment gives an intimate feel with their incandescent lighting and fixtures. The
Sushi bar is situated in the center of the restaurant and allows guests to get
an up-close look at what is being served.  I was invited to a lunch meeting at Uptown
Sushi a week ago. I was lucky to have gone with someone who knew exactly what
to order, so that allowed me to have a full experience.

What I Ate:

We ordered Edamame to start(yum), and
accompanied it with Chicken Katsu, The Signature Tuna Nigiri, Uptown Dragon and
Crazy Maki, and California roll. In addition, we ordered Tuna, Shrimp, Toro
and Salmon Sashimi. My favorite sushi out of all was the Uptown Dragon,
which is topped with avocado and shrimp tempura- perfect combo of meat and
vegetables! I opted out of eating the raw dishes(I don’t do well with raw
meats), but my co-worker enjoyed them. The Chicken Katsu was extremely plain-
nothing special there.

To finish, we ordered Mochi Ice Cream in Green tea, Mango, Strawberry,
and Espresso. I had never heard of this dessert before, so I had to do my
research to find out what I was eating. Mochi ice cream is a Japanese pastry
made from Mochi ( Japanese rice) filled with ice cream. The Mochi doesn’t
really have a particular taste, so I recommend getting an ice cream flavor that’s
strong enough to overpower the Mochi. Overall these little babies are
